Our Illusion Pearls, Kolor Pearls, and most of our Metal Flakes are temperature rated at around 400 degrees F, making an ideal additive for clear powder coatings. Give any powder-coating project a true custom paint look with our additives. Also, by using our products, you can color match your automotive paint to your powder coat. We have one powder coater using our Thermo in powder coat. Start with one bag of pigment (25 grams) per pound of clear powder. You can stretch it to 2 pounds depending on the amount of color saturation you are looking for. All of our pigments can be used in clear powder coat. The only products that have a lower temperature threshold are the thermochromic pigment and the chameleon flakes (in jars). We have had powder coaters use these but only in low heat cure powder.
